Although she is not a teacher by profession, Amanda has spent countless hours volunteering in our schools. She was recognized at our school this year as volunteer of the year! She has seen firsthand what our students, teachers, and support staff experience day to day, and she brings that understanding with her in everything she does. Her experiences have given her a unique and valuable perspective—she truly gets it!

One of her greatest strengths is her ability to listen. Amanda takes the time to hear different viewpoints, and she communicates with clarity, respect, and purpose. She’s not interested in pushing an agenda—she’s interested in what’s best for the students and teachers.

As a parent of children who use IEPs and other supports, she also brings a deep personal understanding of the special education system. She knows how critical it is that all children—regardless of their needs—feel supported and included in their learning environment.

Amanda is full of passion. She is open minded but also comes prepared with her own ideas. She is so kind and truly wants what is best for our children!

Amanda is exactly the kind of person every parent and teacher wants to have on a school board! Amanda is passionate about our children's education and ensuring that every child has an equal opportunity to the education and services they deserve. She is a problem solver with so many wonderful ideas of how to help shape a new district. Amanda has always been very involved in her own children's schools. Whether that be in the classroom, in the PTA, helping run the school choir, running the community council or countless other examples. Nobody works harder than Amanda, she gives everything she does 110%. She is very knowledgeable, driven, compassionate, understanding, approachable and passionate. I am excited at the prospect of someone so wonderful having an influence on our school system. She is a force for good!

Over the years she’s spent more time in SCHOOLS than anywhere else besides home and work. She’s passionate about making a difference, loves helping without making a fuss, and she just get’s things done. She genuinely cares about educators and the challenges they face, as well as children - especially those that have additional needs, and challenges. She’s inclusive of EVERYONE. She is hard-working, down-to-earth, and someone you can count to listen to your needs.
